A privately owned employment agency established in 1978, by husband and wife team Bob and Beryl King, who both have over 30 years experience in the recruitment world.

We have qualified consultants happy to help. All our clients have been visited to discuss their specific requirements.

All applicants are registered, interviewed, reference checked and if applicable tested to meet basic standards of competency.

Commercial Division deals with all office based vacancies including Management, Sales, Secretarial, P.A.'s, Data Entry Administrators. Receptionists, Administrators and Juniors

Industrial/Trades Division deals with General assistants, Warehouse ops. HGV1 and HGV3 Drivers, Van and Multi-Drop Drivers, Fork lift ops. Factory, Catering, Chefs and Kitchen assistants. Welders, Ground-workers, Electricians, Plumbers and Building Trades.

The company is an active member of REC, the industry's governing body, encouraging its consultants to obtain personal professional qualifications, honouring the code of practice of the industry.

CPC Training

The EU Directive for driver CPC Periodic Training came into effect for LGV drivers on 10th September 2009.

All drivers, new and existing, will need to complete 35 hours periodic training every five years to ensure that their Driver CPC is current. This is known as PeriodicTraining.

Only courses that have been approved, and are being delivered, by training centres that have been approved by Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training, (JAUPT) counts towards the Periodic Training requirements. Periodic Training is designed to confirm and expand, on the existing knowledge of each driver.

Mayday Personnel Services is approved to deliver periodic driver CPC training for LGV licence holders. Our J.A.U.P.T. approval number is AC00871.

How much training is required?

All drivers must undertake 35 hours of Periodic Training every five years. The minimum length of a training course is seven hours. The first session is on Drivers Hours & Tachographs.

Who does Driver CPC Periodic Training apply to?

The Driver CPC applies to all new and existing drivers who hold a vocational licence.

Existing Drivers (LGV)
All vocational drivers of vehicle categories C1,C,or C+E or C1+E, who have acquired rights (passed test before10th September2009), will need to complete 35 hours Period Training before 10th September 2014.

New Entrants

Persons wishing to acquire cat C1,C or C+E (after September 10th 2009) must pass the initial Driver CPC exam. Once the initial qualification has been passed, periodic training must then be completed.
