The Student Agency
In recent years, the students of The University of York have been very unhappy with the service they have received by their letting agents, and started seeking an alternative. This led to the idea of a student run agency, where lettings could be centralized here at the university.
In 2014, the university voted for a student run letting agency, confirming their negative experience of the student property agents in York. This has progressed to The Student Agency, where students run and work within a letting agency for their peers. This aims to promote a fairer and more sustainable way of introducing students to suitable properties in York.
