About

Microlise

Microlise specialise in helping our customers improve the execution of their supply chain through the innovative application of best of breed technology. As well as developing our own technology, we work in close partnership with other leading technology companies within the supply chain, logistics and IT market sectors. We have an extensive range of skill sets to evaluate, design, implement and support complex technological solutions which seamlessly integrate into our clients line of business applications. Although we are a technology company, we work hard at not being technology led. Our aim is to understand the business processes, objectives and problems of our clients. We can then create innovative technology solutions to deliver real business benefit with measurable return on investment.

The Microlise Fleet & Distribution portfolio seeks to address the 'black hole' that often exists beyond the loading bay, once the goods are on the back of the delivery vehicle. It addresses this problem through automatic vehicle location, using our In-Vehicle Computer, with positive proof of delivery or collection (including signature on glass) via an in-cab mobile data terminal updating the host system in real-time over GPRS.

Microlise Fleet & Distribution provides constant visibility of delivery schedule adherence and driver performance within the Transport Management Centre software located in the Operations Control Room or Transport Office and generates immediate alerts against specific definable business rules. A full set of standard and customisable KPI reports allows management by exception.

Additional functionality can include pre-advice of delivery to customers, congestion avoidance using a direct feed of traffic conditions on major roads and last-mile satellite navigation to assist the driver in locating his next destination.

With the advent of Digital Tachographs the complexity and amount of effort required to manage driver's smart cards and paper tachographs is significantly increased. The overhead of ensuring that conformance is achieved relies heavily on a solution that offers both digital and analogue tachograph analysis

Through the Microlise Drivers Hours Management (DHM) System, a modular part of the Microlise Transport Management Centre (TMC), the time taken to capture, store, review and report on compliance can be significantly reduced. The DHM Software processes the uploaded information, storing all data for compliance analysis and reporting, along with any violations or infringements that have taken place.
