I entered Ming moon, "Pan asian" restaurant full of hope and expectation that it would live up to its claims at providing delicious and extensive variteties of asian and Chinese food. I left dissapointed. The food appeared to have been left out for a long time and was lacking in flavour. The sweet and sour; surely a basic staple of any Chinese retaurant had more in common with a two minute microwave readymeal than any experience of oriental fine dining I have eaten. Having said this, the price was reasonable as far as the food was concerned although one would expect somewhat more authenticity; it being almost in the heart of the Chinese quarter of the city. The most offputting aspect of the experience was the staff who appeared sullen, rude and overworked. They took a great deal of time in seating us despite many tables being free and also made several "errors" with our bill. During our dining staff appeared to assault two young men whose card had declined or some such problem and the police were called which added to the atmosphere of tension and hurried feeding but did provide some excitement to an otherwise dull culinary experience. Probably due to the location of the restaurant some of the clientelle appear to be of a less than savoury nature, which could also be said of the food and indeed, the staff. All in all a thoroughly unpleasant dining experience, one I would not reccommend.

The best selection i ave seen in chinese buffet at a very reasonalbe price.thre is over 60 dishes form cantonese to Thai with japanese thrown in for good measure. All the regular goodies are on display, including ribs, ribs, chicken Wings, fried rice and prawn cracker. but there are also options i have only seen in non-buffet chinese restaurant. Those spicy golden prawn crackers. and crispy duck with pancakes and plum sauce. Buffet food can often be dry and stale, but this wasn't the case in Ming Moon.
