The best South Indian Vegetarian food you will find - not just in Leicester but in the country. I have just moved to Leicester from London and Mithaas tops all of the South Indian places in London that have 5 star ratings and cost 3 times as much as they do. My partner and I are totally addicted to their wonderful dosas, chaat and dahi vada. All of the curries we have tried are amazing and the mango lassi will blow you away. We have always found the staff there to be absolutely wonderful but I can understand them being confused by someon not liking the food. No offense, but there must be something wrong with that person's taste buds! Just go and eat there and see for yourself. Simply amazing.

Very rude
Recently went to Mithaas. Terrible experience. Food was great but did not like one item. Very politely told one of the staff and ended up being told off loudly by the owner and his son (turns out he was the one who waited on us). They told us not to come back if we didnt like it. Treated like low class citizens because we dared to comment on their food. would never go back.

Great homestyle Indian Cooking
I have been using Mithaas since it opened and it is consistently excellent. A wide range of freshly prepared pure vegetarian food, some indo-chinese,too. Service is always great either eating in (they do a Thali for £5, great!) or takeaway. For those eating in, it's also the only licensed indian veg. restaurant in the area, so you can have a beer too. Wholeheartedly recommended. Miss it at your peril!
