Specialist provider in Physical Intervention and conflict management. A modern company using the latest up to date techniques in compliance with all legislation. H&S. Children's Act, Manual Handling, Human Rights.
In a recent case a care worker was awarded a large amount in compensation and the care home that she worked for was fined £150.000 for failing to ensure that their staff were adequately trained in Physical Intervention. The Health and Safety Executive wished to ensure that the message reached the ears of all who work in this field.Q. Can you afford not to provide this training?A. Well thats up to you.We all have an obligation under the H&S to provide adequate training to our staff in order that they may conduct our business in a safe environment and in a way that will not endanger those in our care.It would be a bad mistake to hide our heads under the blanket on this one. When selecting a provider of this type of training ensure that they are current in law and understand H&SE legislation, Human Rights and manual handling. Make sure that they can define reasonable force. Ask about their technique, is it easy to learn and easy to remember, yet very effective. Has it been challenged in law? If not its NO use to you. Is the training guaranteed? is after care provided? If the answer to any of these questions is NO, Do not employ that company to train your people.
