Monochrome Wales provides customers with fine art photographic prints. These range from landscapes to commissioned work, which includes large canvases or prints for office and shop interiors, and brochure/website/advertising/book images. The owner, Hywel Harris, has been a photographer for over thirty years, and is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. His work is exhibited internationally.

Hywel's images are produced as either prints or canvases. In all cases, the highest quality materials are used. While Hywel can produce darkroom prints of some of his work, the majority for sale are giclee prints utilising the latest pigment ink technology to guarantee permanence. Prints can be produced on other media also e.g. laser prints and photo etchings. Images can be produced individually, as sets, mounted, unmounted, framed etc. Canvases are produced on rigid wooden frames, with images printed on highest quality photographic canvas, which is stretched and stapled, before being given two separate coats of a satin lacquer. Hywel can undertake commissions involving most subject matter, ranging from landscape scenes to building interiors. He can be contacted directly by phone to discuss requirements, and can travel across the UK to carry out work. The customer is key, and while Hywel can advise on the approach, it is the customer who has the final say.

Hywel is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and the Wales Craft Council, and his work can be seen for sale in various art fairs, galleries, shops and restaurants. His programme for face to face sales can be seen on his website. Such events showcase Hywel's latest work, and are an opportunity to discuss images and commissions with him. He
ywel is a member of Swansea Camera Club, and is an international exhibition selector, a competition judge, and a speaker on the club circuit.
