I chose Oldham Motors because I thought a franchised dealer would be a safe option. After seeing an advert for a Fiat 500 (which I later found stays on the internet permanently months after the car has sold) I was told that they had a similar car coming in and put a deposit on it. After being told 3 different delivery dates and a wasted 3 hour journey still no car. I eventually got to see the car and agreed a price and collection date. On collection day I found the headlights of the car had been smashed, preventing me from taking it home. I was told it was vandals just minutes before, another wasted 3 hour journey and left with no car for a week's commute! By this point I needed some serious reassurance about the car but was not given any help or gesture of goodwill by the garage. After hearing nothing I rang them and was told the car was ready and could I pick it up that night because they had a busy weekend (after having been told they would fit around me). I'd had enough and requested my deposit back. I later saw the car advertised for £1100 more than the price I'd agreed and only £500 less than the car was new - the car being an 59 plate I was appalled. I wasted two months and a lot of time and money and I doubt they would have ever sold me the car. Their customer service is appalling, they are completely dishonest and I can't advise strongly enough to stay away from them.
