Fire Protection

There are well over 50,000 fires in homes in Britain every year - that's almost 140 per day. An early warning regarding detection of fire and smoke is paramount in order to reduce risk to life and property.

Fitting a battery powered smoke alarm is probably the simplest step you can take to try to reduce the risks of smoke and fire, indeed, around 8 in every 10 homes now have this type of smoke alarm. However, in 2004, fire fighters in England and Wales attended over 5,000 accidental house fires where alarms were fitted but failed to work. Although this early notification will enable rapid evacuation if the premises are occupied, automatic notification of the Fire Service should also occur whether the premises are occupied or not.

All MSI alarm systems are supplied with the facility to advise someone else what is happening, as standard.

Living Alone

INDEPENDENCE is an important part of our lives, yet many of us take our independence for granted. Less able, infirm or elderly people may cherish the possibility of their independence but circumstance or ability may deny them the opportunity.
MSI is supportive of these wishes, we have long been instrumental in providing our clients and their loved ones with the opportunity of enjoying their independence, whilst being confident that should they need assistance, HELP is close at hand.
MSI can assist anyone wishing independence by supplying high technology systems, individually designed to suit the requirements of the individual. For example, MSI can monitor a simple inactivity detector in a property which would indicate that the occupier is unable to move around the property, possibly due to being ill in bed, or resulting from a fall.
Upon receipt of such an indication, MSI could notify either family, emergency services or neighbours etc. in order to support the occupier. In all cases, the monitoring is unobtrusive, any response being event driven, so as not to cause inconvenience to the person being supported or anyone who cares for them.
