About Us

Me huh? I am the dog trainer, accredited animal behaviourist and owner at MyPetGets, I graduated from the ISCP two years ago gaining a diploma in Canine Behaviour and Psychology. The ISCP is a forward thinking school and is recognised internationally. Upon completion of my diploma I joined INTO Dogs as a full member, INTO Dogs is a member of the regulatory body ABTC (Animal Behaviour and Training Council) for the UK, this gives me a listing as an Accredited Animal Behaviourist (you can find my listing here: http://abtcouncil.org.uk/accredited-animal-behaviourists.html
I'd rather tell you about who you will be working with as a person. I am a true dog person, all I ever wanted as a child was a horse and dogs. Our family (my husband Scott and our daughter) would be well suited to a large farm in the country but alas we live in Two Mile Ash with 4 dogs, 6 rescue chickens and a little less space than we'd like. I worked in finance and marketing until I decided to do what I'd always wanted to do and train dogs. Having taken my ADTB dog training courses while working I set about finding my path into dog training. I walked a lot of dogs, got involved with dog charities and rescue centres and word got out about my ways of working with dogs. There was a definite niche in the dog training world for trainers that were truly positive and worked with an understanding and empathy for dogs. I've learnt a lot as I've gone along and each day I'm a better dog trainer, despite doing it professionally for 8 years, I'm on a constant mission to better my understanding. I especially love working with high energy dogs and working towards giving rescue dogs a better life. Training and owning rescue dogs is a real passion of mineI often spend my days off home checking for different rescues or at rescue kennels offering behaviour help to help get more dogs out into their forever homes.
