Murphy’s Discount House (“MDH”) is an Irish owned family run business. The business is run by a team of brothers – Anthony, Raymond and Nicky. Like a lot of people in Ireland today the recession made it necessary for us to look for a new venture. After a lot of brainstorming we decided to give people what they needed – value for less. We saw an opportunity in the re-sale of pre-used appliances, offering a 5 year Warranty to show we had confidence in our products. Since then our business has gone from strength to strength with the opening of two additional stores in Gorey, Co. Wexford and Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. Our product range has also grown to include beds, bunk beds, mattresses ranges from cheap to mid to high end and furniture for your entire home together with flooring and carpets.

We started the business selling reconditioned and pre-used kitchen appliances however we also sell new appliances offering between a 3 and 10 year supplier warranty.

MDH also offer a repair service that is second to none. Not only do we offer call-outs from €45 but with the introduction of our Drive-Thru Repair Centres you can now save yourself the call-out charge by dropping your appliance to us. We’ll assess your appliance for free and call you with a quote before carrying out any work. We repair washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, cookers, fridge/freezers and all kitchen appliances.
