Situated right in the heart of Bradford, UNESCO City of Film, we exist to promote an appreciation and understanding of media through nine floors of FREE galleries, an extensive collection and research facility, and three cinemas including the UK's first IMAX theatre.

Christmas Parties

Celebrate Christmas in style at Bradford's most elegant venue, Room at the Top. Situated on the eighth floor, the new venue offers amazing panoramic cityscape views over Bradford. Package includes a four course, locally sourced gourmet dinner with dancing until 1am with our house DJ.

Weddings

We are home to some of the world's finest collections of photography, film, television and new media. We have diverse galleries, ranging from traditional to contemporary, which makes an innovative setting for your photos. Where else can your guests take a virtual skydive, or be papped at Number 10 Downing Street?

The brand-new ‘Room at the Top' is the perfect location for your ceremony, wedding breakfast or reception, for up to 100 guests. Named after the 1959 romantic drama which was filmed in Bradford this suite located on the eighth floor of the Museum offers fantastic cityscape views and state-of-the-art AV.

The National Media Museum offers a range of team building activities inspired by the Collections and themes of the Museum and delivered by media professionals.

The team will work with you in advance to ensure that you get the most from your experience and they will be on hand to assist throughout the day.

Collections

The National Media Museum is home to over 3.5 million items of historical and cultural significance, and our diverse Collection encompasses some of the finest and most compelling visual material to be found anywhere in the world.

Amongst the Collection are three pivotal firsts - the world's earliest known surviving negative, the earliest television footage and the camera that made the earliest moving pictures in Britain.

Educators

We have eight floors of free galleries about the internet, television, animation and photography, and three temporary exhibition spaces exploring different aspects of the media. We can offer our spectacular IMAX cinema, practical workshops, gallery talks, study days and downloadable resources, as well as our live interactive show – CinemaMagic.

Visits will suit groups from KS2 to Further Education, and can meet curriculum requirements for English, science, design & technology, ICT, history, art & design, Media and Film Studies.
