Written without prejudice. I was a long standing teaching assistant for over 10 years at Nelson primary school Birmingham. The staff that work there go above and beyond for the school, however, a teacher who became Head teacher suddenly felt the need to exercise thier power and, in my opinion not very well. Unfortunately now it is not about the care of staff and the children it's all numbers. The SLT are now acting passive aggressive, if you have an option or disagree with them. They actual took learning capacity out of year one in 2021-2022 by simply not teaching it which ment the question on the test was not possible for them to answer, as it hadn't been taught. This is not good practise. I feel so sad as the school used to be so caring and dedicated to the children and staff. 15 members of long standing staff have left because of the head teacher now as she chooses lead with dictatorship. Staff are not valued anymore and this reflects in the teaching.
