About Us

New Road Psychotherapy Centre is a collective of psychotherapists and counsellors offering a wide range of skills and experience. We welcome diversity and recognise the importance of finding the right counsellor and approach for each individual - in all their uniqueness.

Whether you are seeking psychotherapy or counselling for anxiety, bereavement, work or relationship problems, depression, self-esteem or even to gain a deeper self-knowledge, we are more than happy to discuss how we can help. We provide a calm and safe space at our clinic in central Brighton, offering therapy for adults, children, individuals, couples and families. Counselling is offered in English with an option to be counselled in French, German, Spanish or Swedish.

Counselling available under Aviva insurance as we are a registered provider.

Low Cost

If you are interested in counselling, but concerned about the price, you may like to consider our low cost counselling at just £22 per session. Unlike other low cost counselling services, we offer a whole year's worth of counselling (with longer being negotiable), although many clients who access this service feel the benefits in considerably less time. Clients receive ongoing counselling given by our associate counsellors, all of whom are currently studying to become counsellors, psychotherapists or working towards professional accreditation with the BACP or UKCP. All associate counsellors are regularly supervised by a senior counsellor with a supervision qualification. Counselling takes place in light and spacious rooms in our clinic in Central Brighton and appointments are available weekdays and evenings as well as Saturday mornings. We are happy to answer any questions about what is available with all enquiries being treated confidentially.
