When opening the hotel, we appointed Occupancy Marketing to manage our website launch, establish and manage our SEO and PPC, and to advise us on all aspects of Internet Marketing. Reducing our OTA commissions was a key strategy for the hotel, so when the new TripAdvisor Check Rates service was offered, we could see there was an opportunity to steal website traffic that would have otherwise gone to an OTA, for our own direct channels. There was minimal risk when joining the program as you only pay per click, and the reporting is quick and clear. Overall it has been lucrative for us and provided a welcomed cash injection into the business.
