We are captivated by the beauty of the area and our stay was enhanced by our accommodation - warm, welcoming and comfortable. Our hosts recommended the Strathmore Golf Clubhouse for our evening meal, so delicious that we returned the next evening. Eileen and Bill are excellent hosts, willing to help out from drying clothes after a wet walk to making a reservation for us at the Strathmore. We also enjoyed their 'craik'!
Mr
"Fantastic" On a tour of Scotland we were staying at 8 of the top rated B&Bs and at the Old Stables we had the biggest room, the longest picture window and by far the most communal space of any. Although we arrived a little later than expected, we were made to feel most welcome and helped to get a place to eat. I always hesitate to tick the Excellent boxes all the way down but I cannot think of one thing with which I wasn't entirely satisfied. I truly wish that our stay had been longer. Absolutely everything. Do not hesitate for a second to book at Old Stables for a stay in or around Alyth.
