Pubwatch is an organisation which is regularly enforced in Blyth. Anyone who is violent towards staff or fellow customers, causes criminal damage to licensed premises, commits drugs offences or acts of anti-social behaviour, and distributes stolen goods or buys a drink for anyone on the scheme will be placed on the Pubwatch scheme for a minimum of 12 months. "I personally use Olympia Security at my own venues in Blyth and I am aware that they are hired by a number of other local pubs and clubs in Blyth and Northumberland. They are an excellent company however, I had to add that they have been very helpful with regards to our Pubwatch scheme. Olympia Security always use the same Door Supervisors at my venues which has helped establish an excellent relationship in the community. They take the Pubwatch scheme as seriously as we do and this has effectively and noticeably helped the area and reduced incidents.
