If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant in Burnley, your options are distinctly limited. The Oriental Buffet Restaurant opened a couple of years ago, hailing a new dining experience for residents and visitors of the town. The concept is simple, you pay a set price depending on the time of you visit and then you are given a plate and free reign to pick and choose from as many of the Chinese dishes on offer as your heart desires. In theory, it's a fantastic concept that lets you enjoy a reasonably priced meal whilst also giving you the option to sample and taste dishes you might not ordinarily order for fear that you don't enjoy them. In reality, there is a rather limited and predictable range of foods. All of the food I have sampled at the Oriental Buffet Restaurant has been greasy and bland and the flavours of the different dishes have an uncanny habit of merging into one another. So don't be fooled by the cheap prices and the array of dishes as this restaurant certainly proves that you get what you pay for.
