Insurance Reports

Many people have home contents insurance that covers mishaps such as accidental damage.


If your laptop or Base Unit is damaged and your insurers require an engineers report we can provide this.


Comprehensive report submitted to your insurance company. Our service involves:


* Testing of a laptop or Base Unit and individual components for faults.


* Identifying damaged parts.


* Ascertaining if data is recoverable.


* Sourcing and obtaining a quotation from the manufacturer for parts needed, if financially feasible.


* Assessing damage as to "repair" or "replace".


* Writing and submitting a detailed report.


Fixed price for engineer's reports is £** including VAT.


Most insurance companies will not reimburse the cost for this report (You should check your policy beforehand).

History of OTR Computers

OTR Computers is one of UK's longest running Computer specialist company with many years experience sourcing and supplying high or low specification computers to new and existing customers throughout the UK.


OTR Computers was formed in Hertfordshire in 2000. OTR recognised that the UK market was suffering from a distinct lack of professional Computer suppliers, Repairs and OTR was born shortly afterwards. OTRs aim was to provide the UK public with a bespoke solution, tailoring computer solutions to a clients specifications down to the smallest detail.


OTR source and supply high specification reliable Computers at prices that truly reflect 'value for money' for the customer and we are universally acknowledged as being pioneers in continually reducing the gap in performance and functionality in computers.


OTR operates from Hertfordshire from our purpose-built HQ. Our HQ encompasses our specialist manufacturing, testing and repair facilities. Unlike many of our competitors, OTR actively encourage our clients to come in.


Our team is the driving force behind our company. Our engineers are painstaking in hand-selecting the best possible computer components available through the world, and rigorously bench-testing them to identify the right combination to power our Computers in most efficient manner. Similar to tuning a car engine for maximum performance, all OTR's Computers are configured prior to despatch to ensure optimum performance for our clients upon delivery.


In addition to fantastic Computer / repairs, OTR also recognise that our customers are our business so an enormous emphasis is placed on our approach to Customer Services. It is our policy to continually invest in improving Customer Service and efficiency thus reducing lead-time on new machines and also minimising downtime on defective equipment. OTR remain one of the Deshtop / Laptop / repairers who do not employ frustrating menu-driven telephone queuing systems or premium rate telephone lines. Call us old fashioned, but we recognise that when our clients call they want to speak to a person - not be put on hold for 20 minutes on a premium rate phone line! All phone calls, whether pre-sales or post-sales, are answered. It's standard company policy, and our clients enjoy the personal service it brings.
