P and R Hurt are a private Education and Training organisation.

Sample Details of INSPECTING, TESTING and CERTIFICATION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS City and Guilds 2391

This course will enable competent electricians working as part of a small to medium size company or on their own; as well as those engaged on maintenance, to Test and Inspect both Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Installations.
You require a background in electrical installation i.e. Qualified Electrician and a knowledge of electrical installation principals and it is essential that you already possess C and G 2380 or preferably 2381 i.e. 16th Edition Regulations.
28 Hours of study at the centre. Areas to be covered include:- Items to be checked during the detailed inspection. The need for diagrams and charts to be available prior to the testing process. The sequence of and procedures for testing. The requirements for inspection and testing of alterations and/or additions to an existing installation. Issuing Completion and Inspection Certificates. The requirements for periodic testing. Choosing appropriate test equipment, plus hands on use of the test equipment.
