The Town of Ilford is based in the London Borough of Redbridge in Essex. It currently has around 41,300 inhabitants (May 2001) and has been sited on the banks of the River Roding (prev. River Hile) since Saxon times when it was known as Hile-ford or Ilefort. The first Mayor of Ilford was Peter Griggs and he presented a Clock Tower to the town in 1901. It was in 1965 when Ilford was incorporated into the London Borough of Redbridge.
Ilford has a wide range of supurb visitor attractions and facilities. Our town has a fantastic mix of cultures which brings with it an excellent atmosphere, the events we host include the Redbridge Dance Festival, Redbridge In Bloom and Redbridge Book And Media Festival. As well as being host to many large shopping outlets and the Exchange Shopping Centre. We can also satisfy any budding restaurant or movie critics with our excellent theatres and restaurants which cover all types and styles of food.
This place is very cheap which makes it perfect for working away from home. Thats if you dont mind catching scabies from dirty bed sheets and matresses that have not been washed from previous user. I took scabies home to my family and ruiend christmas for all of us. I will never scrimp on accomidation again. stay here at your own risk!!!!!!!
