How we work

Pentins Business Advisers Ltd is a Canterbury based accountancy firm, offering expert tax and business advice. Helping visionary entrepreneurs succeed in business is at the core of everything we do, and as such, we see ourselves as more than just number crunchers.

A lot has changed since Pentins was established in 1926, but our goal, to provide excellent accountancy services, has stayed the same. We have embraced the radical changes and opportunities that technology has brought to the accountancy industry, and believe the profession will change drastically over the next few years – and we with it!

Our team consists of chartered accountants, business advisors and chartered tax advisors. As Xero certified advisors, our team is proficient with the core features of Xero. This means that we are always ready to support you and your business by taking full advantage of the cloud!

Business Advice

As Chartered Accountants, we take care of all the compliance work and finances for you. We also give you insightful advice on how to grow your business and reach your goals. As our client, you can choose between monthly and quarterly coaching sessions, and pick one of our three programmes: The Explorer, The Go-Getter or The Achiever. Our work is based on our successful methodology, ACHIEVE.

We are expert business advisers with unique insight to your finances and your goals, that help you set achievable goals and keep you accountable for reaching them.

Make life easier with cloud accounting

Xero is the accounting software we recommend for all our clients. It allows you to view your cashflow in real time, and along with some handy apps it can automate many tedious, manual processes like invoicing or expense reporting.

We have been Xero partners since 2012, and have substantial experience in introducing the software to new clients. We will help you set up, and give you ample training until you feel confident.
