My name is Ian Horbury and I have been running a personal counselling service in Middlesbrough since 2001.

About

I am an accredited member of BACP and a UKRCP registered counsellor. I work with clients concerned with anxiety, depression,self harm and relationship issues. I have also undertaken programmes in CBT and am certified in bereavement therapy, alcohol and substance abuse.
Counselling is a therapy that helps clients to better understand their thoughts and feelings. The process is based on finding the root of the issues concerning a client, offering a fresh view on the problem, and helping the client to reach a resolution.

My Services

Face to face sessions run for between fifty minutes to one hour. After the initial discussion and assessment, I will suggest whether a brief period of up to six sessions would be appropriate, or whether working together for a longer period would be advised.
All of my clients are treated with the utmost respect, warmth and confidentiality.
