Been using Pete's tyres for a good few years now. Always great service and deals with any problems straight away. Recommended to lots of friends who now regulary use Pete for popping off tyres and getting new tyres, including a professional drifter. All in all, Pete's fast and gets you the best gear at the best prices. Will be using Pete for many years to come as he's the only person i trust with my alloys and tyres!

to mr mondeo - and other who may read this - thanks for your review and your lie's- as i only charged you £124 for 2x mic and 2x pirel's - which you ask me over the frist phone call if you could put a different size on your car -as you didnt want to pay for four new 205/50/16vr - which you couldnt aford - and you wanted a cheeper option so we fitted 4x tyres new valves and balanced for £124.00. -so on your second phone call - i said come back and i would put your four scrap tyres back on your car and refund your money and you said no !!!! you didnt want to do that - you would like to change 2x of them - that you wasnt no happy with - which i said yeah i would do that no probs and after a couple of weeks i did sorce sum more tyres and there were ready in stock for you to come down and have fitted and co . - which you new about and never come and got them ..we have been in bussines for 21 years .. so if im some big time rip off- i wouldnt be here - would i ? and let me say one thing more - you can not buy new 205/55/vr 16 for £35/45 all in no were .. and for the slie comments over my mother aka sheena - come say that to my face and not over a key board - mr mondeo - ok

I went to Pete's tyres for a set of part worn as we are selling our car in six weeks time so this would allow us to get an mot in order to sell it on. My partner took the car to Pete's Tyres (Stockport) after "Pete" assured me on the phone that he would put nothing less that 5 -5.5 millimetres of tread on each tyre, fully balanced for £130. When I got home from work and saw the tyres it was apparent that two were reasonable, i.e. 5mm of tread, and one was 4mm of tread, the last tyre had 5mm of tread but was feathered at the edge, (an MOT pass but I wouldn't be confident about going above 70 mph. Reluctantly he agreed to change the two tyres, and stated that these tyres were from abroad, therefore the tread wear dimples were 3mm and not the standard 1.6mm. Also, he didn't balance the rear tyres, as he said it wasn't necessary and a waste of time. Not the view of direct tyres in stockport, they checked the dimples and told me the tread wear dimples were 1.6mm I thought I'd have a quick drive on the motorway and sure enough the steering wheel vibrated at any speed above 50mph. I decided to go to direct tyres and paid £32 to have all four tyres balanced, each tyre on the car was severely out, which I find strange as "Pete assured me that he balanced all four wheels. Anyhow, Pete didn't have the two required tyres for my car so he took my number and assured me that he would get back to me when the impending quality tyres arrived at his yard. One month later I hadn't received a call, so I decided to ring every now and again to politely ask when my two tyres will be in. The customer services lady kept asking Pete whilst holding the phone up. "When will the tyres arrive for Mr X" , since he was busy balancing wheels the customary reply was "when the FuXXing yard ring me up". at one point I rang up and found Pete to be a rather good mood, when I asked for Sheena (customer services lady") He went to great lengths in explaining that she has just popped out to the tyre supplier and at that very moment is trying to sort out the two tyres for our mondeo, He asked “could I please ring back two hours from now, and ask Sheena “Has she managed to pick up the tyres for our mondeoâ€. I rang back at the allotted time only to have the phone answered by his trusty side kick, who informed me that Sheena was off all day, as wednesday is her statutory day off". Obviously Pete failed to notice it was wednesday, or he was just to busy finely balancing wheels to notice Sheena had not been in the office all day. Surely, to suggest he was deliberately messing a customer around would be totally unprofessional. If you are looking for cheap tyres I'd suggest fitting economy ones, as they cost about £35-£45 each, and even pete's precisely calibrated tyre depth gauge cannot disagree that you get 8mm of tread, which given the extra time they are on the car, becomes cheaper than using part worn tyres. I won't be visiting Pete's tyres again, as they have a very limited vocabulary with most words starting with the letter F and if at all possible, ending with the letter F. Pete will assure you that he is fitting quality tyres on your vehicle to get his grubby hands on your money, but it really is a lottery of how save you are when you drive away, I happened to glance in my rear view mirror after my first visit and did wonder why Pete and Sheena were waving goodbye with their fingers crossed. I'm sure the other reviews were written by Pete and his many relatives in order to give the business a good name, however he and Sheena should start a new business as funeral directors, as there will be plenty of former customers who had the misfortune of using his quality tyres. The Best Tyres, Bar None
A long established Family owned and run business, Pete and Sheena offer great value and provide a quality service and specialist advice on all aspects of tyres including fitting, balancing, repairs etc. all at very competitive prices. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

THE BEST TYRES FOR THE BEST PRICES IN STOCKPORT
The prices are brilliant at this family run tyre yard!! Would highly recommend to everyone! Sheena and Peter are really honest and helpfull have used them for years as you cant beat their great prices!!!
