Disappointing, Would Avoid
I previously hired PJB Property Maintenance for some re-pointing on a rear wall on a previous property and the one star is being awarded for the good service and good workmanship on this occasion. Due to the good job on this we gave them some work again which involved roof repairs and also a part conversion of a loft space. The roof repair work they did started falling off one month after the work was done and we are having to employ another builder to try and resolve (PJB are now not answering any of our e-mails or telephone calls deliberately hanging up and are not interested in resolving this issue). The part loft conversion work seemed fine at first until we found out that the council's building regulations department had not been contacted regarding the work. The council of course asked us to pull this down. Again PJB were contacted about this and promised to show up last week to resolve but again no-one showed and phone-calls and e-mails are again being ignored. I have now spent most of my weekend taking this structure down myself so we are not prosecuted by the council. A measure of a good tradesman is one that tries to resolve problems such as these and to not run away from them. Therefore I could not recommend PJB Property Maintenance to anyone based on the above.
