As one of the directors of the company I would like to clarify the above review, the driver is correct, if you book a taxi over the phone an extra 80p is added,this is the booking fee. All meters start at £2.80, any extra person over 1 is charged at 20 per person. All vehicles should display a tariff chart confirming these charges. If you were to take a taxi from a rank, they do not charge the extra 80p as there is no booking fee i.e. a phone call, I hope this clarifies things. The tariff chart can be found on the Bournemouth Council website to confirm these charges.

Oercharged
Overcharged, and even when i pointed out to driver he was wrong? he tried to lie his way through? £2.80 start on meter, 80p added in extras? why? because council tell them too? WHAT >>> yes council say that they must add 80p on every journey? so i said then why not just start at £3.60. I said that seems very unlikely? NO NO honestly that is what council say we charge 80p for the first customer and 20p extra for each additional customer. BUT he then added this is only for private hire? hackney not allowed to charge this extra fee? this driver must think i was born yesterday? all he saw was a person going to hotel? so guessed i wasnt from bournemouth so thought he would chance his luck. I used other firms on next nights and wasnt charged 80p extra by any of these other firms
