About Us

Welcome to the Priory Restaurant in the heart of beautiful Burford at the gateway to the Cotswolds. We are open 7 days a week from 9am until 6pm serving breakfast, lunch, cream teas and early supper including a traditional roast on Sundays. We are fully licensed and welcome children. We pride ourselves on our delicious menu of home-cooked food at affordable prices, excellent service and a warm and friendly atmosphere. We are one of the only restaurants in Burford with a large secluded garden. The charming and picturesque garden located at the rear of our 17th century building offers a wonderful place to eat and drink with family and friends. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Priory Tearooms Burford

The Priory Tearooms in Burford was a lucky accident. We only went in because it started raining heavily. The ,lunches looked so delicious we decided to sample the "special" of the day which was steak and ale pie and vegetables. The pie was scrumptious with featherlight pastry and delicious lean steak with a rich gravy, the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Service was speedy and friendly. Can't wait to go back for more!!! Valerie and Derek Bird from Broadstairs in Kent.

The Priory Restaurant, Burford

Situated at the bottom of the hill in Burford, dinner and drinks at the priory is a wonderful way to end a day of sightseeing in the Cotswolds. We had a fantastic meal there and I can highly recommend the cajun chicken salad. In fact, we also stopped there in the afternoon for cream tea and sat outside in the sunshine watching the world go by. The service is also excellent and we will definately visit again on our next trip to Burford.

When ever we visit Burford we always pop into The Priory Tea rooms - the cake is just delicious - yet to find out of it's home made! - lovely little court yard at the rear where you can sit & relax for a while - we've yet to try the B&B facilities but hope to do so later this year.
