Excellent

This is the main place me and my family go to for pub meals. It is a nice sized pub. You get really excellent pub meals which are pretty big portions, but you can get something smaller if your not so hungry and just a drink if you want, there is a kids menu for the younger ones and there little tums, that has a ice cream and drink included and as always there are puddings. There are benches if you want to sit outside to sit in the sun,to smoke,to get fresh air or just genrally because you want to sit outside. There are a few sets of toilets including disabled and baby change. There is a cheap indoor playroom for kids up to about 12 years old. It it a nice friendly pub and a very nice place to eat, drink and relax. There is often music on not to loud to hurt your ears but loud enough to hear, but as always the music wont be to everybodys taste. There is a car park right outside so no long hikes to your car in the heat/rain.

A good family pub

Service

Quality

Value

The priory is a family pub as it has a play area for the children called the Wacky Warehouse. It is quite a big pub and they serve food and a carvery on Sunday's so it is an ideal place to take the family out to lunch. The food is pretty standard pub food, but I have always found the meals to be nice and the waiting times are usually not too bad either. The drinks are reasonably priced too.The pub has a traditional yet up to date and modern feel to it. There is no music played in this pub so it is not the sort of place to go to if you are looking for a lively hustle and bustle kind of place as it is situated out of town. I find it is a good place to catch up with friends, especially if they live in Northampton and Wellingborough as it is nicely situated in the middle of the two. If you are looking for a pub with a nice atmosphere where you can sit down with friends or somewhere to take the family for Sunday lunch or for a pub meal during the week, then the Priory is a good place to go to.

Apology for Sunday Lunch

Service

Quality

Value

As a family of two adults and two young kids, we had previously had an unexciting, but OK lunch here one day and chose to take mother-in-law out for Sunday lunch with us and give the carvery a try.The pub was heaving .... usually a good sign and we had to wait around 10-15 minutes for a table. The ordering was the usual pub arrangement where you take your table number and pre-pay for the meal. The daily menu was also available and for our part we opted for :2 x Carvery1 x Steak & Kidney pudding1 x Cod & Chips1 x Pizza (kids) 1 x Fish Fingers (kids)The meal was inexpensive, but too many mistakes to justify a repeat visit.1. A burned pizza - which met with the strange question as to whether we would like it to be replaced.2. Frozen Vegetables3. Gloopy mashed potato like wallpaper paste and pretty inedible. For a full review visit http//www.foodwithpassion.co.uk.If you are not fussed about the quality of what you eat and just look for good helpings and a cheap price, thn this is for you. But if you appreciate quality food, then this was a place to miss.
