Hello, I am Grant and I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in Advanced Training.
I am a trainee member with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

For a start I know and understand how hard it can be to even pick up the phone and contact a counsellor. It can be very difficult. It is a start though and is the important stage in your recovery. What do people come to see a counsellor for. Well many things. Freedom in life is so important. Freedom from whatever you are going through. This could be relationship problems at work or at home. Choice is another important word. You deserve a life where you choose how you want to live it and who with. Many people live with no freedom or choice and then feel stuck. Stuck in a situation where they feel that they cannot escape. Of course through being stuck or trapped in a world they feel they do not belong can bring anxiety problems and depression.
