Asbestos Surveys

PTL undertake Asbestos Surveys, Management Surveys and Demolition / Refurbishment Surveys in accordance with HSE Documentation HSG264. Surveying, Sampling and Assessment of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs).

Noise Monitoring

PTL Hygiene Noise Monitoring in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.

Hearing damage caused by exposure to noise at work is permanent and incurable and entirely preventable if:

Employers take action to reduce exposure to noise and provide personal hearing protection and health surveillance to employees.
Manufacturers design tools and machinery to operate more quietly.
Employees make use of the personal hearing protection or other control measures supplied.

Asbestos Awareness Training

Asbestos was banned completely as a building material in the UK in 1999. However, this means that any building built or refurbished before 2000 may well contain asbestos. Any worker that is likely to disturb asbestos as part of their job is required to undertake Asbestos Awareness Training.

Consultancy – Management Plan a Legal Duty

Are you following an effective Asbestos Management Plan in accordance with regulation 4?
As defined in the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006, all duty holders with known or presumed asbestos within their properties must have in place an effective Asbestos Management Plan. The purpose of this plan is to manage any known or presumed asbestos so that its potential danger is tightly controlled and risks kept to an absolute minimum.

PTL have developed a bespoke software application ASB Survey station which is a software database that is tailor made for the Duty Holder to manage all aspects of asbestos.

Dust Monitoring

PTL Hygiene provide Dust Monitoring in accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health PTL can provide dust monitoring for workplace exposure in accordance with HSE Documentation EH40.

Air Monitoring

What is Air Monitoring?
Disturbed or damaged Asbestos material causes fibres to become airborne. The only method is to sample the air you breathe. PTL hold UKAS accreditation 1590 for air sampling.

What does Air Monitoring consist of?
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006 requires air sampling to be carried out on the completion of asbestos removal work.
