Pulver Carr Surveyors was formed on 1st September 2008 having formerly been part of the Pulver Carr Partnership Estate Agents and Surveyors in Hatch End. Pulver Carr Surveyors is headed by Keith Pulver FRICS, who qualified as a surveyor in 1990.
Keith has been based in Hatch End since 1988 and was a director of estate agents/surveyors, Preston Druce, prior to opening his own practice in 1994, along with former partner Allan Carr. Keith is assisted by Lorraine Hadland, who has worked with Keith for 20 years.
The primary work of Pulver Carr Surveyors is in the residential housing market carrying out Building Surveys, Home Buyer Reports and Valuations on all types of residential property.
Although the office is based in Hatch End, Keith has inspected property as far away as Folkestone in the South, Gloucester in the West, Birmingham in the Midlands and Cambridge/Newmarket in the East of England.
As in all successful businesses it is word of mouth recommendations and repeat business that Pulver Carr Surveyors are pleased with.
An example of this is as follows:
Recently we had a telephone call from a lady who had her previous property surveyed by Keith 17 years ago and she was now moving again and required a survey on her next property!
Keith Pulver has also surveyed properties for two and even three generations of families in his 21 years as a qualified Chartered Surveyor.
Pulver Carr Surveyors are also involved in preparing Schedules of Repair for damaged properties in respect of insurance claims. This has required meeting with many overseas and high net worth clients
Building Surveys are most suitable for older properties or for those houses where significant alterations and extensions have been carried out, for property where ongoing maintenance and repair have been neglected or where you propose to carry out alterations. The Surveyor will examine everything that is reasonably visible and accessible.
The inspection will cover the structure and finishings of the building, outbuildings, grounds, boundaries and have regard to nearby trees.
The report is a detailed technical report including advice on the work that will be required in the immediate future, and details of future maintenance and repairs.
This is a detailed inspection of the property with a report and valuation providing an assessment of the overall condition of the property in order that you can:-
Make an informed and reasoned judgement on whether or not to proceed with the purchase.
Assess whether or not the property is a reasonable purchase.
Be clear as to what decisions and actions should be taken before contracts are exchanged.
The report will identify any matters that are Urgent or Significant; these are the matters that the surveyor considers to be an actual or developing threat to the fabric of the building or to persoanl safety or matters that would have an impact on the value of the property.
