I held a six month tenancy agreement with Pure Lettings. From day one, the actual moving in date, maintenance problems occurred. Infact, the maintenance guy who came to sort out the problem actually said to me 'I'm sure I'll meet you again soon, things are always going wrong with the flats upstairs'. During my tenancy, I was persistently leaked upon from the flat above, resulting in uncontrollable damp and mould. The first and worst leak caused part of the ceiling to collapse at 4am, to which I took immediate action, emailing the agents. Someone came round, told me they'd be back in a week, and did not return for nearly two months. A similar leak to the one upstairs occurred in my flat, causing a very expensive and brand new washing machine I bought to break beyond all repair, and flood the kitchen. The agents accepted no responsibility despite the similarities, and were very unsympathetic to the event. NOT ONE SINGLE AGENT actually came to the property to view the damage, until the very end, when a very flustered man appeared. Untill then, I had to deal with maintenance men who simply PAINTED OVER DAMP, and reinforced my experience by telling me all of Pure's properties were badly maintained and like this. At one point, the boiler from upstairs broke, and I immediately called Pure. They sent someone round to fix it. I went to London for a week, when I returned, there was evidence of continual leaking, and a FUNGUS in the corner of the kitchen. There are no words for how incompetent, rude, unprofessional and impersonal this company is, and I strongly warn against anyone using them. I think that a letting agent that can't even get my postcode right says it all.
