Awful service, awful place!

Service

We visited a casino for the first time as night out idea, and didn't know what to expect. We were greeted by a VERY rude and unhelpful chubby receptionist, who couldn't seem to care what we were here for, only more interested in her phone. Slightly improved by a helpful Indian receptionist who explained a little more about the casino, but as he hadn't worked on the tables before, he couldn't explain too much. Fair enough. We entered through the reception area into the bar and had a drink from a pleasant Chinese waiter. Looking around, it wasn't what we expected... I guess something from a Bond movie, but it wasn't that. We proceeded to the tables and asked someone with a bow-tie what we had to do. "put your money down an' hope eh?" was the smarmy answer we got. So, none the wiser we put some money on the roulette table, and started playing the chips we were given, not knowing how much there were, or what they were worth. "No, you cant do that" said the dealer. Ok, take it off and try again... "No, you can't do that, I just told you" he barked. Hmmm... well why not say what we CAN do? We scraped through, won a few, lost a few, playing red black odd even etc. Later on, we wanted a bite to eat, so asked a waitress what they served. "Coffee, tea, pop, no sandwhiches, I'm really busy, and ' aint had a fag yet!" she muttered. We ordered two coffees, and waited. And waited. We continued playing, awkwardly, and still no coffee. About 45 mins later, we asked the same lady if she'd forgot us... "NO, I DID bring them, but YOU had moved!!!" she snarled at us! Well, I can assure you we hadn't, but I wasn't going to argue. So we ordered two more. She bought them over, slammed them on the quite shoddy shiny table next to us, glared at us, then marched off, muttering something about a tip!!! We looked at each other, and decided enough was enough. So we cashed out the chips, sarcastically told "Thanks for coming" by some red faced European dealer, saw we had won about £4, and decided to turn around and walk away, never to return again. I would of thought that Casinos would of been hit hard in the recession, but with a level of customer service like that (or lack of it) they are obviously doing well, and don't need new custom. Absolutely disgusted by the lack of, and quality of the service. We won't be recommending the place to anyone. Ever.
