Disgraceful - No business ethics or morals!!!

My fiance ordered £180 worth of flowers from this shower some 8 weeks ago. Yesterday she happened to call in to check that everything was ok for our wedding day next week! She was shocked and devastated to be told by the proprietor that everything was ok with the flowers but because they were so busy on the day (next Thursday 23rd August) they could not deliver to Swansea (a journey of 10miles/20 mins max). My Fiance broke down in tears - only one week before the wedding and no flowers! The husband of the proprietor did however offer to deliver at an additional cost of £35 (almost double a taxi fare)!!! I subsequently telephoned the proprietor and asked if I could place an order for 15 bouquets @ £25 each for the same day to be delivered to Swansea for a corporate function. I asked the question (3 times) could they be delivered free of charge on that specific date, the lady checked her diary and I was told " that date is fine-no problem whatsoever! " When I explained who I actually was and that they had tried to rip us off I didn't even get so much as an apology, but merely told "if you want to go elsewhere feel free"! What the proprietor doesn't know is that I am a manager in a very large organistion who has purchased thousands of pounds worth of flowers from this company over numerous years! Have a guess who's going to have the last laugh!! For shame on you Raymond Lewis-Ethics/Morals you have none! We will find another florist that will at least have some moral standards and treat customers with some common decency!
