I provide sex and relationship therapy to individuals and couples of whatever sexual orientation, who are experiencing difficulties in these aspects of their lives.

I work with couples and individuals of whatever sexual orientation, who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships and/or sex life.My background is in Nursing and Health Visiting which has provided me with a solid starting point for working in this field, and helps me to maintain a down to earth, and at appropriate times, humourous approach to my work. I offer workshops and presentations to other professionals and organisations.

Relationship Therapy

Problems may occur at any point in a relationship, and sometimes couples find themselves unable to communicate about these issues. Causes of relationship difficulties are complex. They may go back many years and have been precipitated by significant events which have upset the equilibrium of an otherwise functioning union, may be more prescient relating to recent events, or it may just be that the relationship has got tired, and those involved have lost sight of each other.

Couple therapy can help re-establish effective communication, and provide valuable insight into how the relationship works (or doesn't!) Clients achieve whatever they want to from the process!

Sex Therapy

Sexual difficulties can occur for any number of reasons, and are very distressing to couples and individuals. We may not give a moment's thought to our sexual functioning and its role in our lives and relationships, until it goes wrong, and then havoc is wreaked! Causes may be psychogenic or related to underlying medical conditions, and my background in health stands me in good stead to help assess possible contributory factors.

Difficulties with orgasm
Arousal problems
Sexual addiction
Sex therapy can help untangle some of the complex issues involved in this aspect of our existence, and maybe even add a little spice. If in a relationship, both individuals are encouraged to attend, as it is about both of you!

HOW DO I WORK?

I generally see clients on a fortnightly basis which, although unusual in this field, is less demanding on both time and pocket.
