Wonderful countryside pub
I found the Red Lion at Thorncliffe when I travelled to the Staffordshire Moorlands/ Peak District with a group of my friends recently. I don't think any of us had been to the pub before, and we just stumbled across the place while driving around the area. It is a smart pub on the outside with lovely hanging baskets and a beautiful bear garden to the rear. We decided to just go in for a drink, but when we saw other people's food coming out we decided to order something to eat. The food was lovely and really good value. They had a good range of beers on tap too (which is always a bonus). I'm really pleased we came across this charming pub and I hope to head back there very soon.
