No stars for service.

We went to the Red Lion this evening as it had been recommended by friends. The food was fine and we had no complaints. However the reason why we will NEVER return is the customer service from the staff was just so apallingly bad. The waitress girls were rude, they were ignorant and they were really unfriendly. My friend ordered a coffee while we were waiting for our meal and she had to remind them after 30 minutes, when it arrived the waitress almost threw the coffee at her, spilling it everywhere, no smile, no apoligies - just attitude and no offer to help clean the table. When we asked a question about the food no one asked the chef... on one checked, the 2 waitresses just looked at eachother, rolled their eyes and sighed... making us feel stupid for asking a normal question, and as we never got an answer from someone who knew, because they just wanted to feed us and make us leave. The food was fine and we loved it, but it really was not worth the unplesant waiting staff who were so morose and unfriendly, where everything was too much for them to do.
