Who We Are

Established in 2001 initially supplying upholstery companies with manufacturing component parts we soon branched out to offer sewing services. This continued to grow and one aspect of our business is now sewing for a range of other businesses.

Realising that there was a gap in the market for bespoke work and re-upholstery we began taking on work that others had turned down. This soon led to us making regular ranges for retailers and on line sellers.

In 2018 we began to undertake work for a local design company supplying high end clients with bespoke furniture and headboards as well as corporate clients with furniture and soft furnishings.

We are proud to say that all our products are genuinely British Hand Made in our own premises. We do not import cheap products for re-sale and the only aspect we outsource is the manufacturing of the frames which is a specialist task; everything else is undertaken direct by us which means we can control quality.

Our frames are made locally by a skilled and experienced craftsman who works with us to provide a frame made to our exact requirements and style.

Where source our manufacturing products from within the UK which means that, whilst elements may be imported by our suppliers, we only companies that actually are resident and trade within the UK in our supply chain.

Our staff come from various manufacturing backgrounds and bring with them a range of different experiences, skills and qualities. Our talented upholstery team are complimented by our excellent sewing machinists and experienced cutters all of whom are supported by a sound administrator. Together the team pool their knowledge and work together to ensure our products are of high quality and any challenges in production and design are resolved. We do not work on a piece work basis as we believe it is an outdated method of production and one which is best suited in mass production. Our staff produce what we need to have made and meet production targets because they understand the economic impact that they play in the success of the business and we believe that this makes for a more relaxed and productive factory.

All our products are made by us and us alone and as such the book stops there. We take full responsibility for your item and offer you a 12 month guarantee. Our frames are made by a local experienced, furniture specialist frame maker and due to the nature of our business and working together this not only means we can promise a quality frame it also means that we can make items to a size or even design you prefer. Frames are made with hardwood, plywood and other sheet materials to ensure a strong and durable frame which will last the test of time. Our fabrics are supplied by UK based companies many of whom source fabrics from UK mills but do also import, in the main from Europe. All our fabrics and any other materials used in the manufacturing of your sofa meets the stringent UK Safety Standards for furniture.

We know that customer confidence is crucial when buying direct and some people find it difficult to buy an item that they have only seen online and have not sat on. Buying on line gives you a legal protection under "distance selling regulations" which allows for your items to be returned with a full refund, this does not apply to items which have been purchased via the factory. Please note this protections also does not apply to bespoke made items or recovers and there are certain rules around this which you must be aware of and is contained within our returns and refund policy.

As standard every item we sell comes with a 12 months guarantee (more details can be found in our gurantee document) which covers labour and parts including the fillings, feet, fabric, leather, and springing. In fact everything, right down to the brass tacks.
