Apprenticeships and the workplace

Development of your staff is a constant challenge and if your paying for the training and the wages whilst the staff are learning this can be a real drain on your resources. With an Apprentice the minimum wage can be drastically reduced and the costs of training may be met in full. There is also the benefit of the expertise of the assessor to call upon in certain circumstances where the Apprentice may need a helping hand and you don't have the knowledge and expertise, after discussions with the assessor they can guide the young person or bring another member of the training team into play.
So although a young person may not have the life skills of a more mature individual there are other benefits, but one of the greatest benefits is the enthusiasm and vitality of a young person.
