Riverboat Georgina

Georgina operates 365 days a year and is fully heated with an overall Length of 80 feet; beam 13'6″; air draft 9'6″; draft 3′ 6″; light ship weight 30 tonnes, Georgina was custom-built over the winter of 1994/5, specifically for use on the River Cam, snugly fitting through all the locks and under all the bridges.

Equipped with mains electricity, heating and full disabled facilities, she operates on a stretch of the River that runs from Cambridge through Ely to Denver Sluice, with a license to carry 110 passengers.

Sailing information

Georgina is available for charter all year round. On a 4-hour cruise, guests are picked-up from our mooring below Jesus Lock in Cambridge and sail as far as Bottisham Lock before returning to Cambridge.

The Riverboat Georgina offers this in the style and luxury of a fully appointed passenger craft. The wonderful thing is that she is suitable for any function, whether you are booking a company do, or a party for family and friends.

Georgina can be booked to sail throughout the year, morning, noon and night. The usual length of cruise is one to four hours, but we can alter this to suit your needs.

We cater for wedding receptions, birthdays, works jollies, anniversaries, conferences, cream teas, or simply because you feel like a party! We have a fully stocked bar on-board, and we can provide a range of musical entertainment, from a disco to jazz to classical.

We also have a range of menus, from a finger buffet to a more formal sit down four course meal - the choice is yours!
