A house on the river!
Well worth a visit to this restaurant although it's not in the city centre but a short drive away. It's very picturesque with views of the castle and is literally at the side of the river. On a warm summer night, it's lovely to take a drink outside and sit and watch the wildlife swimming by.Each time I've visited has been as part of a large group - retirement parties or leaving do's and I've been impressed each time. They do a 2 course lunch for a reasonable price, currently £6.95, although my experience has been their evening dinner menu. I'd say the food was quality rather than quantity, so no huge portions here but that just means I can indulge in their tempting sweets too.It's certainly a place I'd happily return to and can recommend a visit if you're in the area.
