AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS
I purchased a car from this garage in august and have never come across such a shoddy set up and unprofessional approach to car sales in my life! The car had lots of faults on it when i looked at it originally but was promised it would all be sorted including two new front tyres and a dodgy front seat belt that would not retract properly. On the day of collection the car had only one of the problems sorted, the new tyres and they were the wrong size and the seat belt still didn't work properly and a loud knocking and rattling had appeared at the front end, the steering wheel was not aligned properly too and the dodgy stains on the back seat had not been valeted properly either. It took me over a month to sort out 4 new tyres of the correct size and rating for the vehicle. They fobbed me off 4 times saying they couldnt get the tyres i needed as there were none in the country but i checked with my local tyre shop and they said they could get 8 tyres in 48 hours from the same company that riverside were dealing with. He gave me some bull about he rang them and they told him.. blah blah blah. We then rang the company and they had not recieved any enquiries about that size tyre and had never heard of riverside cars. On the day i finally got them fitted i asked him to check the front suspension too as there was a loud knocking noise coming from the OSF wheel area. It took them an hour to fit the tyres and when i asked about the knocking noise he said that they had found a loose bolt but the car had only been MOT'd a few weeks earlier so i had been driving round with a loose bolt that they had not picked up on as well as a loose heat shield on the rear exhaust silencer which could have fallen off at anytime or speed causing injury or worse. The cheeky sod then charged me £50 for fitting the tyres that should have been the right size in the first place and fixing a loose bolt! I had no choice but to pay as he had my car keys and to be honest the staff there all dress and act like football thugs not a professional car sales team. I would not trust or buy a shoppin trolley from this lot ever again. They are happy to take your money but after that they don't want to know and it's guys like Mel and Gary that give the motor trade a bad name.
