Useless - do not use these cowboys

Robert Prettie are a large organisation. They are contracting in by Persimmon homes and Bryant to name just a couple. By being contracted by the big names you would think this company must be either very good or very cheap. I would vote for the latter! We bought a new Persimmon home in 2004 that had the plumbing installed by them. And, thanks to them, we have now had 3 different water leaks and an "extremely dangerous" gas pipe installed. All of the water leaks were due to incorrectly fitted toilets (sistern not screwed to the wall, no "doughnut" seal used on one of them (they used silicone sealant instead!), and the list goes on.) One of these leaks completely flooded the bathroom and kitchen causing around £5000 worth of damage and has since pushed our home insurance cost through the roof. The gas pipe to the oven that they had installed had a kink in the copper pipe that could have leaked at any time according to an independent plumber that has since fixed all these cock ups! When the kitchen was being re-built from the leak, the plumber who was installing the sink told us that the plumbing "under the sink area" was very poor and it was another leak waiting to happen and thankfully re-installed it all free of charge. I have completely lost faith in the plumbing our house and they have caused much distress, especially to my wife who has been trying to deal with all of this (and a toddler) while I was out of the country. We are currently putting together a court case against them. Please do yourself a favour and use anyone apart from this company.
