Roger Lane Consulting was founded in 2007 as a leadership development company which now provides a customer journey that encompasses individual coaching, team building and development, organisational leadership development and scalable experiential simulation and e-learning solutions. About Us

Central to our way of working is to provide an environment whereby the "wisdom within the organisation" is liberated through improved human interaction and a strong emphasis on alignment of the individual, team and organisation at 3 levels: "head" - knowledge and understanding; "heart" - being, values and purpose; and "hands" - conduct, behaviours and results. All our work is thoroughly grounded in the organisational context of the client to encourage rapid and relevant results.

Individual and Team Development

We work closely with clients to identify performance gaps, using a rigorous evidence-base, based on a variety of psychometric and other analytical tools so that interventions match the individual and organisational goals. We design and deliver practical workshops, with supporting material, that are memorable and ensure that differing learning styles are accommodated. We have accredited NLP practitioners and psychometric profilers that support design and delivery of programmes.

Student Leadership Development

We design and deliver leadership development programme in schools, based on a gap analysis of the school's current activities. We believe that in order to lead others, it is essential to be able to lead oneself, so we begin in Year 9 with a programme of discovery about self - how we use information and make decisions, how we relate to others etc; in Years 10 or 11 we include creative problem-solving and in the Sixth Form we focus on roles and responsibilities of appointment holders, such as prefects, helping them to create action plans. All development is underpinned by fun and memorable action-centred learning, which is designed to be inductive. Staff are also trained in the tools and techniques to embed the learning so that life-long skills are learnt. we also run a special programme to help overcome exam nerves.

Roger Lane is the founder of the company. Working in close partnership with our clients, Roger brings a fresh and focused insight into your challenges. With over 30 years of leadership experience in the Royal Marines, and latterly working with key institutions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia, these laboratories have enabled Roger to gain profound insights into leadership of complex and complicated organisations that are leveraged for the benefit of corporate clients in the UK and elsewhere.

Jakob Gunge is the Associate Chief Technology Officer for the company, bringing over 15 years experience of developing an award-winning software application for advanced, cutting-edge experiential simulation called Trackbuilder. With experience as an IT developer with Maersk Sealand, 17 years experience as an independent entrepreneur in broadcasting and publishing, as an EU research project director and venture-capitalist think-tank mentor, he brings a wealth of experience to our business. He holds a BA in International Business Administration and is fluent in 5 languages.
