About

The Rosehill Hotel ~ About The Hotel

Rosehill House was built in 1856, for a wealthy cotton mill owner, Adam Dugdale. The house went through several changes of ownership, including the mayor of Burnley, Mr Sam Taylor and was also occupied by the home guard during the Second World War.

Rosehill House was then converted into a hotel in 1963. Many of the elaborate features of the original decor have been retained, including a number of beautifully ornate ceilings, which give the hotel a unique charm and character.

The Rosehill Hotel enjoys an enviable reputation for its peerless style and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal place to relax, the Rosehill will take you back into a bygone era and make you feel like the personal guest of a genial host.

The Rosehill Hotel ~ Accommodation

The Rosehill House welcome makes you feel as though you are living in your own country house, with all the facilities that implies. The Hotel features 34, individually designed bedrooms.

Each room has a character of its own and whether staying in the main house or the splendidly restored coach house, there are fine antiques, exquisite soft furnishings and yet all the modern day facilities that you would expect from a first class family run country house hotel. The rooms and suites combine today's comforts with an opportunity to feel the history that the rooms have experienced.

The Rosehill Hotel ~ Restaurant

Inventive and creative, choose from our extensive range of modern English cuisine or Mediterranean tapas, and wine list from our excellent cellar. For that formal but intimate occasion it must be Dugdales, within the wood panelled dining room where quality is the hallmark. A la carte and fine dining at its best.
