Jim has had the wonderful opportunity of sharing his life with many different breeds of dogs over the years including German shepherds, Akitas, Labradors, Afghan Hounds, Dachshunds, Shetland Sheepdogs and a Dandie Dinmont Terrier. At the moment, he is pet parent to one Labrador, three Afghan Hounds and nine German Shepherds.

Jim competes at Crufts every year and has been showing his German Shepherds for over 35 years. In 2014, he was a Top Breeder and is the proud parent of the Top Winning Male of the year, along with the Top Puppy. He is a qualified championship show judge for German Shepherd Dogs, and is recognised by the Assured Kennel Club.
