1-2-1 Commercial Driver Training

RSM Driver Training in Essex is a family run commercial driver training school offering a comprehensive range of intensive ONE-TO-ONE driver tuition courses including HGV/LGV, PCV, Minibus, Ambulance, tariler towing and forklift truck driver training. We have a wealth of expertise gained from over 15 years in commercial driving tuition.

HGV Driver Training

Our professional training team of HGV Driving Instructors are DSA registered and have many years of experience.At RSM we provide all classes of HGV/LGV driver training courses on a ONE-to-ONE basis, although we are also able to offer a shared time training scheme if requested.

The HGV/LGV driving licence is the most in-demand commercial driving license to have because it is the category of vehicle normally chosen by a huge diversity of businesses to distribute their deliveries. The licences to drive these types of vehicle are commonly referred to as the Class 2 HGV and Class 1 HGV. Licences include:

Category C1 & C1 + E (7.5 tonne /Ambulance Driver Training)
Category C (Rigid /Class 2)
Category C + E (Articulated /Class 1)

New drivers must qualify first for Class 2 HGV vehicles before they can upgrade their driving licence and take the test for an articulated lorry – Class 1 HGV. This means they will also gain the 7.5 tonne driving licence also.

PCV Driver Training ( Coach /Bus /Minibus)

RSM Commercial Driver Training provides PCV driver training courses for a range of passenger carrying vehicles (PCV's) including minibuses, coaches and buses.

Driver CPC Training

The Driver CPC is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally in the UK. Drivers are required to keep update their CPC driver training every five years. The periodic CPC driver training is 35 hours and bascially consists of 7 hour sessions of class training spread over 5 days.

Since 10th September 2009 all drivers who passed their LGV Practical Driving test, and since September 2008 for buses and coaches, drivers must hold a Driver CPC (Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence).

Ambulance Driver Training

We are the preferred training provider of the East of England Ambulance Service and provide one-to-one training with a DSA registered instructor.

Trailer Towing Training

At RSM we provide intensive one-to-one trailer towing training courses to enable drivers to tow a trailer safely and competently on the road.

Regardless of the vehicle you wish to drive or tow, it is always advisable to have professional trailer towing training. We offer trailer towing courses to help you tow:
