Rudstone Walk has some super evenings in the restaurant. I went with my family for steak night. This is every Thursday in the Farmhouse restaurant and you get a fabulous steak plus desert or cheese and a 1/2 bottle of wine per person - superb!

Looks nice, could be far nicer
I found though this venue looks most idyllic, to be a little diappointing. I stayed here at the back end of 2005 and would have to say I wouldn't choose to stay here again, though before my visit I had imagined it would become I place I would frequent after trying. Although most staff were polite, there were a couple who when you greeted them, did not reply and would walk on by, where another made us feel she was rather we werent there, as if it was too much trouble. The rooms were fitting to the setting, but a little basic and the bath was old and scruffy, which made me not use it. The food wasnt the sort I had expected from hand picked and freshly cooked that was advertised, and my friend was "in need of the bathroom a lot" that night and the following day after eating there. Whilst I appreciate it is not the Ritz, a few small efforts and a little more pleasantry and it would've been much nicer.
