I come quite a way to get my colour and cut done by Toby at Sutton Rush. He is an excellent hairdresser and its well worth the time spent travelling to Sutton for him to do my hair. Lovely personality too.

unwelcome
I recently went for a job interview in rush sutton. And was asked to come back for a 3hour trial by Tina. I was extremely excited, the receptionist was lovely and made me feel welcome and so did one other stylist , Louise I think. But everyone else was so RUDE . They made me feel very uncomfortable and like I didn't belong there. First impression count and everything. I've worked in a number of salons in my time and I have to say this was the most bitchist one I've ever come across in my 15years experience. The way they work is so unorganized, clients where walking out or left for a long time. I was spoken to in such away by one stylist, I completely changed and wanted to leave. I didn't want to be there. I had a lucky escape, and so thankful I didn't have to say no longer then 3 hours. Tina the manager was not in on that day. But did tell me she would ring to find out how I got on. Plus weather I got the job on the same day. That was nearly a week ago now!! Big changes need to b made in that place, I.e some stylists need to have a attitude check. I just glad I don't have to associate with people like that.

Excellent!
I've been going to Rush in Sutton for about 3 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. My stylist knows my hair, discusses options every time and does an amazing job. In fact I'm more pleased each time I go! Everyone is really friendly and attentive and you don't feel intimidated like you can in some places. First class!

Never again, again!
I stopped using Rush in Sutton about 2 years ago as I received bad service. Stupidly, I decided to go back about a year ago. There is no consistency in how one stylist does exactly the same treatment compared to another, even if they have the same experience. I recently had my hair dyed. The Style Director didnt properly put on the colour, meaning that I was left with numerous patches of my previous colour. The manager took over and had to strip my hair and re-colour it on the same day- not really great for keeping the hair healthy! However, not even she did a good job and I was again left with patches. I was due to go back into the salon to have my hair redone for the second time. I was told an hour before my appointment that I had to pay FULL PRICE for this, despite the manager having previously waived the fee due to me spending over four hours in the salon and being provided with what she described herself as a very poor level of service. The very rude manager, Tina, wasnt prepared to discount the fee at all, despite leaving me with patchy hair for a week and requiring me to stay in the salon for hours and come back again. I'm now left with awful hair and looking for another, more competent, hairdresser which tries to provide a good level of service when things go wrong. How hard can it be to apply dye evenly to someones hair! I would personally never go back there. I used the one in Epsom before and they were good so may be worth going there instead!

I was recommended by my friend to see Jimmy. He cut my hair brilliantly. I wouldn't go any where else now. He is always happy and professional and always listens to what I want, he is very meticulous.
