I provide a service making well crafted curtains and blinds with very good attention to finish and detail.
All curtains are weighted with hand stitched edges and hems. They can be lined or interlined with any type of heading required, including pencil pleat, pinch pleat, tab-top, eyelet etc. The blinds - roman, roller etc come complete and ready to hang with material covered battens at the top.
I make the rod pockets from lining and use wooden dowels as I find this gives a more rigid, crisper finish. The customer supplies their own material but all other accessories can be provided by me.
Free quotes given. Measurements taken if required.
Reasonable prices. Also I can advise the customer on the choice of materials and amount required and on the types of curtains or blinds.
I will also alter existing curtains. Additionally I provide a fast trouser and skirt shortening service.
Other types of sewing work considered.

Great service and quality
Ruth has made curtains, a Roman blind and a floor cushion cover for me, they have all been beautifully made. The Roman blind was really impressive and its quality and attention to detail has been commented on by friends and family. The cushion cover was a one off and Ruth was undaunted by the project and was really imaginative in developing the design with me. I would thoroughly recommend her services.

Very professional and friendly service
Ruth made full length curtains for a bay window and a matching roman blind for my front room. I was so impressed I recommended Ruth to my mother who needed similarly large curtains for a french window. They were all sewn and finished beautifully and delivered with in the agreed timescale and for a competitive price.

Efficient, professional and highly recommended
Ruth copied a rather complicated, shop-bought pair of flowing, double-layered trousers for me as I needed a cream pair for my marriage blessing. I have no idea how she made them, as the fabric was tissue-thin, but they were a perfect fit and many people commented on them. Ruth has also altered clothing for me and is now sorting out a tatty bit of my sofa. Ruth is lovely to work with, efficient and professional and I would recommend her without hesitation.

First rate service
Ruth has made three pairs of curtains for me now and I would happily recommend her to anyone and hire her services again. Each time she has produced curtains for me efficiently and well within requested timescales and the quality of the work cannot be faulted. She always gives good advice on the style of curtains to go for and is reasonable on price too.

Great communication and friendly service

Beautiful and Stylish Curtains to Last
Ruth made some strikingly beautiful curtains for my home some years ago and they lasted wonderfully. It was a truly worth while investment as they keep looking amazingly elegant and new even after several years.
